Day One
On arrival at Entebbe International airport you will meet our company representative to transfer you to your Hotel to check in. Depending on the time of arrival you will go for a city tour to check out places like, the Uganda museum, Kasubi Tombs, Namugongo Uganda Martyrs shrine and the Bahai temple. Dinner and a night at Sheraton Hotel, Serena Hotel.
Day Two
Take tea to drive west to Bwindi through Maramagambo and Ishasha following the mystical Rwenzori Mountains for most of the journey. Look out for game enroute through the Ishasha sector expect to see animals like buffaloes, antelopes, elephants, Kobs and many more. You will reach in the late afternoon to have a rest around the Forest camp to explore the luxurious services the Gorilla forest Camp has to offer overnight. Or Buhoma homestead/ Volcanoes camp. (Mid range) / Basic Buhoma community bandas.
Day Three
Have breakfast to proceed to the park headquarters for briefing before embarking on Gorilla tracking. Bwindi is a stunning forest that offers dramatic, heavily forested and dense landscape crossed by numerous animal trails, allowing access for tourists. While tracking gorillas look out for animals the rare golden monkey, like buffalo, leopards, elephants, bushbucks, black-fronted duikers, and giant forest hogs. The activity of tracking gorillas is strenuous but observing and spending time with the gorillas is an unusual and inspiring adventure. They are shy and peaceful- an experience that is unforgettable. Dinner and overnight at Lake Kitandara tented Camp or basic at Buhoma community bandas.
Day Four
Have breakfast to proceed to Rwanda via Kisoro and cross the Border to Ruhengeri. Dinner and overnight at Volcanoe Virunga Camp/ Gorilla Nest camp.
Day Five
Go for briefing at Ruhengeri Park headquarters in Pac de volcanoes. You will then begin tracking the Gorillas at 9:00am. The time you will spend tracking these peaceful apes will depend on their movement. After tracking these humble giants drive back to Uganda to stop in Kibale for dinner and overnight. White Horse Inn.
Day Six
Drive off to Lake Mburo to go for a game drive along the lake shore track, through the “Kigambara Loop” that offers interesting guided lakeside walks. You will see animals like Pribi, topi, eland, zebra and buffaloes to find cape buffaloes. You will have lunch to go for a boat ride on Lake Mburo to view birds Papyrus Gonoleks, Carruther’s Cisticolas, Brown-faced Lapwings, the extraordinary White winged Warbler, and Bare-Faced Go-away bird. Dinner and overnight at Rwonyo Camp.
Day Seven
Drive to Kampala after breakfast to have a stop at the equator for photographs. You will reach by midday to have lunch at your Hotel. Pack you stuff and you will be transferred to the airport to catch your flight.
